Capromorelin Side Effects
Like most drugs, the newly manufactured, anti-aging product
Capromerelin is said to have some
side
affects which must be taken into account before trying the
pill. Side effects observed in subjects treated with the
drug included increased fatigue, insomnia, and fasting
glucose levels. Growth hormones levels, if increased beyond
a normal proportion, can cause health problems.
Increase in
Growth Hormone Levels
Prior to Capromorelin, Pfizer Inc. presented another
anti-aging drug called Genotropin, a synthetic human growth
hormone. It was meant to treat, in adults, weak bones and
muscles, increased fat and blood fat levels, and depression
or social maladjustment problems. Use of Genotropin was
followed by reports of several side effects like
redness/swelling, inflammation, bleeding, scarring, lumps,
or rash, fat loss, headache, blood in the urine, low thyroid
activity, and mildly increased blood sugar. Some of these
were severe enough to be of concern. Likewise, Capromorelin
can be frowned upon.
Capromorelin and Genotropin
While the side effects of Capromorelin and Genotropin have
common observations, Capromorelin has two advantages. First,
unlike Genotropin, Capromerelin is meant for use exclusively
in people of advanced age (60+). Hence the severe side
effects of Gentropin in children are not to be seen in
Capromerelin. The side effects of Capromorelin, observed so
far, are not severe. Secondly, Capromorelin is not a
synthetic growth hormone itself (Genotopin is that). It
stimulates the production of natural growth hormone within
the human body. Hence it is safe to assume that the side
effects of Capromorelin would be fewer and milder than
Genotropin or other synthetic growth hormones which increase
the hormone levels to alarming degrees.
